First Annual Connor’s Heroes Family Festival

Help us celebrate National Childhood Cancer Awareness month! Be A Hero! Bring your family to the 1st Annual Connor’s Heroes Family Festival! Enjoy music for the entire family from 1 to 6 pm at the SnagAJob Pavilion in Innsbrook. The show will begin with 2 of Richmond’s favorite kid bands, The Diggity Dudes and Silly Bus. Silly Bus will debut their amazing new song, "Heroes and Angels," written by Justin Laughter. The Venture Rays and Tin Foil Militia will also perform favorites of young and old alike. In addition to great music for the entire family you will have loads of fun and your support will help ease the burden of childhood cancer to families right here in central Virginia. Activities will include: • Kids Jump Zone (moon bounces, obstacle courses, slides and more!) • A Community Heroes Corner • Music Town with crafts, face painting, and instrument making • Nutzy from Richmond’s Flying Squirrels • Food and beverage vendors • A heroes parade and much more

Connor’s Heroes Day at Flying Squirrels Game

On Sunday, August 15, Connor's Heroes celebrated childhood cancer patients at the Richmond Flying Squirrels game. We gave out 2500 metal lunchboxes with the Connor's Heroes "Conquerors." Five childhood cancer HEROES had the opportunity to throw out a first pitch and one also got to sing "Take me out to the ballgame" for the crowd. Connor's Heroes families were treated to free tickets and "acorn bucks" to make it a great day for everyone.

Connor’s Heroes presents Music for Massey

Connor's Heroes Presents Music for Massey featuring Chris Isaak with special guests Marc Broussard and The Waybacks. Hike for Heroes - The Grand Canyon!

On May 27, brothers Andrew and Mark Elmore and Jim and Scot Sohr undertook a challenge most would never even consider: hike the Grand Canyon rim to rim and back in only 2 days!! But that wasn't enough for them . . . they also wanted to raise money for families undertaking their own personal challenge: battling childhood cancer.

Hike for Heroes - The Grand Canyon!

On May 27, four men will take on the challenge to hike across the Grand Canyon twice, rim to rim, in just 2 days! It will be a grueling task, but not as grueling as the fight a child faces after a diagnosis of cancer. These 2 sets of brothers, aged 47-50, have taken on the added challenge of raising $10,000 to help kids with cancer and their families. The Elmore and Sohr brothers want your support to help Connor’s Heroes Foundation kick off their Superheroes and Sidekicks program! Kid Zone at the Church Hill Irish Festival

Connor’s Heroes Foundation is proud to be involved once again in the 25th Annual Church Hill Irish Festival on March 20th and 21st in historic Church Hill. Connor’s Heroes volunteers organize and operate the KID ZONE activities for the festival, and the proceeds from the KID ZONE help Connor’s Heroes in its efforts to conquer childhood cancer. The KID ZONE activities include face painting, moon bounces, a giant slide, an obstacle course, carnival games, mini NASCAR racing, and more! Volunteers will be asked to give 2 hours (or more) of their time, helping kids and families enjoy these activities. To volunteer, please click the VOLUNTEER button.

Houston Scott Band Benefit Concert

The Houston Scott Band has organized an amazing night of music to benefit Connor's Heroes! Come on out to Richmond's premier venue, The National, on Saturday, March 6 to hear great music and to Be a Hero! The opening act, "The Diggity Dudes," is a great children's entertainment group. You'll also hear from The Tyler Foxwell Band and Frankly Scarlet, as well as Steve Barton and Kelly Moss of Mo De Bree. Of course, The Houston Scott Band will headline the night!! Tickets are just $10 in advance or $13 at the door. Bring the kids for a family-friendly night of music!!
