Brownie Troop from Michigan are True Heroes!
Earlier this month, Brownie Troop 70154 from Lake Orion, Michigan assembled bedside crafts and made cards to be included in the backpacks Connor's Heroes distributes to cancer patients and their families. The troop consists of 11 first grade girls who attend St. Joseph School. This was a great opportunity for the girls to learn the importance of helping others.
I'm sure you are wondering how Brownies from Lake Orion, MI got involved with Connors Heroes in Richmond, Va. Well, as the leader of this troop, I've had the pleasure of being friends with Lisa Goodwin for over 20 years. Since we no longer live near each other, I've only had the opportunity to meet the rest of the Goodwin family a few times but I still know what a special family they are. They are doing great things with Connor's Heroes and Brownie Troop 70154 and myself hope to continue to help them for years to come.
