Miles is a Hero!
Miles is six years old. He was diagnosed with ALL in June of 2009. Prior to his diagnosis, Miles was enjoying his first year of tee-ball with Varina Recreation's Red Sox. Miles began treatment at MCV Hospital where he continues to receive treatment today. He has responded well to treatment and remains in remission. Miles moved to the maintenance phase of treatment in December 2009 and will continue treatment until August 2012.
Miles returned to school in early January, much to his excitement. He's looking forward to getting to know his 'new' classmates. We continue to pray that he will be free of this disease upon the completion of treatment. Miles has a sister, Jada who is 13.
