Throughout the year, businesses, foundations and other groups support Connor's Heroes with significant contributions. Cash donations and in-kind gifts provide the majority of income for Connor's Heroes outreach. Due to their generosity, we can be in the hospital every week and say to a family whose son or daughter is in treatment for cancer: "I'm with Connor's Heroes. How can I help?"

Since 2013, Peoples Tax offers free tax preparation for the families with Connor's Heroes. Peoples Tax is locally owned and operated since 1987.
Visual Arts Center of Richmond hosts the Sunday Funday art sessions w/ our Young Professional volunteer group and our hero families. The center has ample studio space. Our hero kids get to work with all types of medias.
Winn Transporation provided us with a comfortable bus to take our families on the Holiday Lights Tour. Our bus driver refused his tip and asked that we donate it back to Connor's Heroes.
CapitalOne bought everything we needed for dozens of Heroes Bags and Backpacks for the young patients we anticipate starting treatment on the bone marrow transplant unit. They even wrote notes of encouragment for our brave kids.
BB&T Insurance sponsored a night at the Diamond for our Heroes and their Families. The employees also filled our Parent Totebags with necessary items for long stays in the hospital.
Northwestern Mutual Foundation’s Childhood Cancer Program presented Connor’s Heroes with a check for $25,000 for our Helping Heroes Program and Heroes Bags and Backpacks Program.

Five Star Maids gave us gift certificates for house cleaning to put in our Parent Tote Bags. One less thing for our hero parents to worry about as they deal with their child's diagnosis.
Connor's Heroes received a substantial grant from AT&T. We will use the money to help a child in treatment for cancer here in Richmond through our variety of programs.
Several of our families do not have reliable transportation to the hospital for treatment. Thanks to the generosity of Napoleon Taxi, they will allow a family to directly bill Connor's Heroes for a trip for treatment.
Altria employees once again gave us a substantial grant for our Superheroes and Sidekick program. With this program, we train volunteers on how to help a family with cancer by being a "buddy" to a patient or a sibling. Many develop a deep bond with a Hero family.
The Strum Group made helping Connor's Heroes part of their mission as a company. They volunteer, hold donation drives and sponsor our events.
