Aida

Aida

Aida (age 10) was diagnosed in February 2016 with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She completed her 30-day treatment the end of March which really took a toll on her little body. She began losing her hair during that time, but she was fine with that. Aida has another six months of treatment. When that is complete, she will begin a long two-year treatment program of chemotherapy. Fortunately, science has come a long way. According to cancer.org, the 5-year survival rate for children with ALL is now more than 85% overall. Her strength and the love and support of her family and friends will get her through this difficult journey. Aida cannot wait to get back to her normal activities which include playing softball, horseback riding, playing golf, swimming in the ocean and, of course, starting school next fall.
