Kasen’s world is filled with imagination. He turns a room into a putt-putt course, an arcade, or a restaurant with sister Jo-Jo delivering meals to his customers: Mom, Dad and big sister Kendal.
Kasen’s cancer diagnosis shifted life at home. Mom took a step back from building her business while Dad worked to fill in the gaps. Everyone bounced between hospital and home, trying to make sense of it all.
Thankfully, Connor’s Heroes was there. Kasen’s iPad from his Heroes Backpack entertained him when chemo knocked him down. Jo Jo and Kasen met Santa at Connor’s Heroes Holiday Open House. Kendal loved painting at a Heroes Art Session. Dad picked up meals from the Connor’s Heroes Family Room. Jillian’s hugs restored Mom on tough days. When Kasen was well enough to go to the beach, Connor’s Heroes gave them a beach bag with gift certificates and toys.
Cancer changed their reality. Yet, Connor’s Heroes showed kindness beyond anything they imagined.
