Sunday was an incredible day for Connor's Heroes. Representatives from Northwestern Mutual Foundation’s Childhood Cancer Program presented Connor’s Heroes with a check for $25,000. They granted us the money for our Helping Heroes Program and Heroes Bags and Backpacks Program. The Richmond Times Dispatch ran a wonderful article with interviews featuring Lisa, our Heroes, their parents and our hero artist, Herb Pulliman, quoted below. 

These kids, their childhood has been taken away. If I can make them laugh or giggle or be a kid, that’s why I do it.
