“A kind, pure soul.” Words that many parents wouldn’t use to describe their teenage sons. But Tecumseh, affectionately known as TK, isn’t a typical teenager.

Because most teens are not battling cancer like TK. He is facing his illness with remarkable grace, dignity, patience, and even humor.

Now, after a very difficult year, TK is ready to reclaim his future. He returned to school. He is hanging with his friends. He is a wonderful (and watchful) big brother to Otis, Pauline, and Major.

Simple joys — like school, friends, family — are precious treasures. TK’s family sees a glimmer of hope after the dark, long months of TK’s treatment.

“We don’t have family close by that have been available to help us in the ways that we’ve needed. We have relied on friends and the generosity of groups like Connor’s Heroes.” — TK’S FAMILY
